"American Wedding," the third (and final) movie in the "American Pie" series, comes to DVD on January 2, 2004. It will be available in an unprecedented five different editions. You can buy the buy either the "regular" full screen or widescreen edition and get special features including deleted scenes, outtakes, commentary by the stars and filmmakers and also "Jim & Michelle's Wedding Video."
Choose the "American Wedding Extended Party Edition," either in full screen or widescreen, and you'll get pretty much the same thing, but in an "unrated" version, with the option of also viewing the standard "rated" theatrical version, if you wish. Oh... and a few, um, special features not in the standard edition, including something called "Enter the Dominatrix: Inside the Bachelor Party."
Finally, "American Wedding" will be available in a two-disc special edition "Gift Set" (widescreen only) that will offer all of the above, plus a whole lot more.

Outrageous Extra DVD Scenes Extend the Party

Provocative special features on the DVD include Enter the Dominatrix: Inside the Bachelor Party. The pranks continue with the outrageous Grooming the Groom feature, illustrating how to make a respectable groom out of a lifelong heathen. The outrageous deleted scenes and hilarious outtakes features offer laughs too edgy to be shown in theatres. The campy Stifler Speak and Cheesy Wedding Video take wedding home movies to a whole new level of raucous fun. On a slightly more serious note, additional features include From Script to Screen and commentary from director Jesse Dylan and beloved franchise stars such as Jason Biggs, Alyson Hannigan and Sean William Scott.
Synopsis
With East Great Falls High now just a memory, the raucous and loveable characters from the American Pie movies have grown into young adults. Now they’re ready to wreak havoc with a new rite of passage - Jim (Jason Biggs) and Michelle (Alyson Hannigan) are getting married - in a hurry. Jim's grandmother is sick and wants to see Jim walk down the aisle, so they're going for it in two frantic weeks. Stifler plans to be there (bridesmaids!), and more importantly to throw the ultimate bachelor party (strippers!). Finch is all for the hedonistic ritual, but not for letting Stifler steal the maid of honor, who happens to be Michelle's sexy younger sister, Cadence (January Jones). But while everybody else sweats and frets, Jim's Dad is cool as ever, dispensing advice that no one wants to hear and getting ready for one of the best days of his life.
