Sandra Bullock returns to DVD this week as Federal Agent Gracie Hart in "Miss Congeniality 2." She goes undercover in this action comedy sequel and heads to Las Vegas to rescue her best friend, the Miss United States Pageant winner.
"Miss Congeniality 2" is available by itself in widescreen and full screen versions and also in a special package (once again in widescreen and full screen formats) that includes the film's soundtrack on CD.
Marcus Thomas, John Corbett and Amy Smart star in "Bigger Than the Sky," a flawed and predictable comedy set in and around a Portland, Oregon community theatre.
Samuel L. Jackson is a controversial basketball coach in "Coach Carter," based on a true story. Ken Carter made national news when he "locked out" his entire undefeated team for poor academic performance. "Coach Carter" is available this week in both widescreen and full screen editions.
Bruce Willis is a cop who faces unthinkable choices in "Hostage."
An edge-of-your-seat suspense thriller loaded with action, Willis is a former hostage negotiator, devastated by a disastrous police experience, who hopes to lead a quiet life until fate brings him face-to-face with the hostage situation he fears the most.
Academy Award®-winner Adrien Brody stars in "The Jacket" as a Gulf War veteran wrongly accused of murder, and subsequently committed to a mental institution.
A controversial treatment regimen sends him on a mind-bending journey into the future, where he can foresee his death - and must try to stop it. "The Jacket" also stars Keira Knightley, Daniel Craig, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Kelly Lynch and Kris Kristofferson.
"American Psycho" - based on the controversial 80's novel by Bret Easton Ellis and offering a sharp satire to the dark side of yuppie culture - is out this week in what's being called the "Uncut Killer Collector's Edition."
From TV this week comes the Fifth Season of the HBO prison drama "Oz," available by itself and in a five-pack that includes the first five seasons.
Also out is the First Season of "Bewitched," timed to coincide with the release of the feature film based on the 60's sitcom about a witch married to a mortal. Elizabeth Montgomery stars as Samantha and Dick York plays her husband Darrin.
The show was filmed in glorious black and white and is being released in its original form, as well as in a "colorized" version. Purists like us prefer the black and white version.
Lisa Hartman stars as a young, single working witch in "Tabitha," the 70's "Bewitched" spin-off series that tells what happens when Darrin and Samantha Stephens' little girl grows up. The DVD release includes the entire 12-episode run plus the rarely seen original pilot episode.
That wraps up yet another week of new DVD releases. We'll see you back here next week with more.
Regards,

When the biggest theatrical title coming next week is "The Pacifier," you know you're in for a decidedly lackluster week of new releases. For the record, the movie is a "Kindergarten Cop" clone starring Vin Diesel.
Also up next week, such treats as "Cadet Kelly,"a "Private Benjamin" clone starring Hilary Duff and Christy Carlson Romano and "7 Seconds," an indie action flick starring Wesley Snipes that - we admit - we've never heard of.
The real one to watch next week is "Diary of a Mad Black Woman." Tyler Perry's over the top adaptation of his own popular gospel play received - by and large - horrible reviews, but did remarkably well at the box office.
