Normally, we try to get the Dossier out to you on Sunday morning; we're coming to you a little late this week, though, due to some computer and formatting problems. Our apologies.
But there's still plenty of time to peruse this week's tasty DVD offerings before they go on sale Tuesday morning.
And now a quick word about next week.
it's a sleepy holiday line-up with very few major releases scheduled for July 4th. So don't expect any fireworks. And don't expect the Dossier, either... we're taking the long holiday week off, but we'll see you back here, Sunday July 9th.
And we've included a list of top titles for next week in this edition.
And now on to what's new and notable for this week, those DVDs with a street date of June 27th...
 "Failure to Launch" is a formulaic and occasionally funny romantic comedy starring Matthew McConaughey and Sarah Jessica Parker. McConaughey plays Tripp, a 35 year-old who still lives with his parents.
And who can blame him? It’s free, he’s got a great room, and mom (Kathy Bates) does the laundry.
Desperate to get him out of the house, his parents hire an attractive woman, Paula (Parker), who specializes in giving slow learners like Tripp a little push. They just didn’t expect Tripp would push back.
"Failure to Launch" is available in separate widescreen and full screen versions.
 Milla Jovovich, Cameron Bright, Nick Chinlund and William Fichtner star in "Ultraviolet."
In the late 21st century, a subculture of humans have emerged who have been modified genetically by a vampire-like disease (Hemophagia), giving them enhanced speed, incredible stamina and acute intelligence.
And as they are set apart from "normal" and "healthy" humans, the world is pushed to the brink of worldwide civil war (a war between humans and hemophages) aimed at the destruction of the "diseased" population.
In the middle of this crossed-fire is an infected woman - "Ultraviolet" - who finds herself protecting a nine-year-old boy who has been marked for death by the government as he is believed to be a threat to humans.
The film will be available on Tuesday in an Extended Cut, as well as in its original PG-13 Theatrical version.
 "Imagine Me & You," a refreshingly different romantic comedy, stars Piper Perabo as Rachel, a blushing bride whose perfect nuptials take a somewhat surprising turn at the altar.
An innocent glance between Rachel and an unexpected wedding guest is all it takes to spark a 'love at first sight' romance with a surprising twist - the object of Rachel's affection is smart and sensuous... and a woman.
Their surprising romance causes quite a stir among her family and friends as Rachel is forced to choose between her husband and the girl of her dreams.
"Imagine Me & You" marks the directorial debut of Ol Parker, a critically acclaimed screenwriter, who also wrote the screenplay for this unconventional romantic comedy.
 "Madea's Family Reunion," Tyler Perry's film based on his acclaimed stage production, continues the adventures of southern matriarch Madea.
She has just been court ordered to be in charge of Nikki, a rebellious runaway; her nieces Lisa and Vanessa are suffering relationship trouble, and through it all she has to organize her family reunion.
As the reunion approaches, secrets are revealed and tensions rise. Madea must use every tactic in her arsenal to not only keep the peace but also keep her family together.
"Madea's Family Reunion" is available this week in widescreen and full screen versions, each with special features that include director commentary, deleted scenes and a "making of" featurette.
 Written and directed by Michael Haneke, "Caché" is a taut, tense thriller that stars French actors Juliette Binoche and Daniel Auteuil. The film is Haneke's dark vision of a relationship torn mercilessly apart by the camera's unblinking eye.
In "Caché," Georges (Auteuil), a television talk show host, and his wife Anne (Binoche), are living a “perfect” life of comfort and security in Paris, when suddenly their lives are disrupted by increasingly disturbing, intimate surveillance videotapes of their most private moments.
As they attempt to uncover the identity of their hidden observer, secrets from the past are revealed and lessons of guilt and responsibility come to destroy their comfortable existence.
"Caché" was nominated for 7 European Film Awards (including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Screenplay) and also for the “Cesar,” France’s equivalent of the Oscar.
 Hot on the heels of the release of the bestselling DVD of "High School Musical," comes another new Disney Channel Original Movie on DVD. This one is called "Cow Belles" and it stars singing sensations Aly & AJ.
These real-life sisters star as two rich, spoiled siblings who are forced to work on their father’s dairy plant for the summer.
While struggling with the pressures of popularity and the challenges of teenage crushes, they work together to save the family business and learn the hard way about what’s really important in life.
This comical story of shopping, friendship and teenage fun arrives this week only in a full screen edition.
 Vin Diesel takes the stand this Tuesday in "Find Me Guilty."
Sidney Lumet directed this comical testament to bad courtroom behavior, which is based on a true story of one of the most uproarious and remarkable criminal trials in U.S. history.
When police arrest twenty members of the Lucchese crime family, the authorities offer Jackie Dee DiNorscio (Diesel) a bargain: a shortened prison term if he'll testify against his own mob family. But the wisecracking DiNorscio has other ideas.
Refusing to cooperate, he decides to defend himself at his own trial... and proceeds to turn the courtroom upside-down in a fight that culminates in one of the most shocking verdicts in judicial history.
Diesel is cast against type as the aging mobster... and it works; his highly acclaimed performance is a delight as brings disorder to the court. And strong supporting performances in "Find Me Guilty" are delivered by Peter Dinklage, Ron Silver, Anabella Sciorra and Linus Roache.
 Peter Falk dons his famous trenchcoat again and returns in his 4-time Emmy Award-winning role as everyone’s favorite Police Lieutenant in "Columbo: The Complete Fifth Season," with guest stars Janet Leigh, Sal Mineo, Robert Vaughn, Ricardo Montalban, Hector Elizondo, Robert Loggia and Patrick McGoohan.
Other good TV-on-DVD choices this week include the First Seasons of "NCIS," "Slings & Arrows," "30 Days" and "Family Affair," the Second seasons of "Tracey Takes On..." and "Project Runway," the Fourth Season of "Monk," plus - just as a big screen version opens in theaters - "Strangers with Candy: The Complete Series."
We'll be back with more DVD candy in two weeks; we're taking next week off because it's so slow in DVD land... and to celebrate the July 4th holiday.
